This is Cardiff by the Sea in the winter. Around mid to late November, the shape of the shoreline changes, and the high tides send a millimeters-thin sheet of water over a broad expanse of flattened-out sand for miles. This long tail of the waves moves slowly and gently. This is when I can capture images of the sky reflecting in the calmness of the sea as the glittering, thin water takes its time receding back into the ocean. — Pam Dixon
