Dixon has written nine books, mostly focused on technology, education, privacy, and workplace and employment topics. Be Your Own Headhunter Online (Random House/Times Books) was the first book to be published about job searching on the Web. It was a finalist in the Computer Press Awards. Virtual College (Peterson’s) is still used in distance education classrooms, and Take Charge Computing (Wiley) went on to the finals in the Ben Franklin Awards.
Dixon, along with co-author Robert Gellman, completed a new reference book on privacy that was published by ABC CLIO books in fall 2011, Online Privacy, ABC-CLIO, 2011. Available in multiple e-book formats and in hardback. (Amazon)
